Policy: No weapons are
allowed to be carried by the general public at this event.
Purpose:
The purpose of this policy is to ensure the safety and security of all attendees at the festival by strictly prohibiting the possession and carrying of weapons on the festival grounds. This policy aims to create a peaceful and enjoyable environment for all participants.
Prohibited items:
A. Weapons: no real weapons, including, axes, knives, swords, or any other object intended for use as a weapon, are allowed to be carried by the general public.
B. Exceptions: foam weapons and fake props, which are non-threatening and designed solely for entertainment purposes, will be allowed at the festival. However, they must be used responsibly and not pose a risk to other attendees.
Collection of purchased weapons:
A. All weapons purchased within the festival premises must be collected from the vendors upon leaving the festival. This measure ensures that weapons are not immediately accessible or used within the festival environment.
Bag checks:
A. To enforce this policy, thorough bag checks will be conducted at the entrance to the festival. All attendees' bags and personal belongings will be examined by designated security personnel.
B. Anyone found to be carrying a weapon during the bag check will not be admit fed 70 the festival and will be required to remove the weapon from the premises before entering.
Consequences:
A. Any attendee found to be carrying a weapon within the festival grounds, regardless of its nature, will be escorted off the site immediately.
B. The festival organizers reserve the right to involve law enforcement authorities if necessary, and the individual may be subject to legal consequences in accordance with local regulations.
Communication and awareness:
A. This policy will be clearly communicated to all attendees through various channels. including the festival's Facebook page and ticketing platforms.
B. Festival staff and security personnel will receive training and instructions on enforcing the policy effectively and consistently.

A. All attendees are expected to cooperate with the festival organizers, staff, and security personnel in adhering to this policy. This includes complying with bag checks and promptly removing any prohibited items from their possession.

1.1 Treat all individuals with respect courtesy, and dignify. Regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender identify, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other personal characteristic.
1.2 Avoid engaging in any form of discrimination, harassment, or offensive behaviour. This includes, but is not limited to: Verbal, physical, or written abuse, threats, slurs, or derogatory comments.
1.3 Refrain from engaging
in any behaviour that promotes or incites violence, hatred, or discrimination.
Safety:
2.1 Follow all instructions and guidelines provided by festival organisers, staff, and security personnel.
2.2 Maintain a safe and secure environment by refraining from any behaviour that may endanger yourself or others.
This includes reckless actions, fighting, or any other form of physical violence.
2.3 report any safety
concerns, emergencies, or suspicious activities to festival staff or security
personnel immediately.
Alcohol policy:
3.1 any consumption of alcohol in the main venue must be purchased from either the tavern or the licenced mead seller on site.
3.2 alcoholic beverages that have been purchased prior to the festival are only permitted within the designated Campsite area.
3.3 participants must be
of legal drinking age and should consume alcohol responsibly. Excessive
drinking or intoxication that leads to disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.
Illegal drugs policy:
4.1 the possession, use, sale, distribution, or manufacturing of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited within the festival premises. This policy applies to all attendees, including festival goers, staff, volunteers, vendors, and performers.
4.2 consequences of violation:

illegal drugs policy may result in immediate removal from the festival grounds,
confiscation of illegal substances. And/or involvement of law enforcement
authorities.
Environmental responsibility:
5.1 help us keep the festival site and campsite clean and tidy by disposing of waste into the black bags we will provide you with,
5.2 respect the natural surroundings, historical artefacts and structures within the festival site and campsite. Do not damage, deface, or remove any property belonging to the festival or other attendees.
5.3 follow any specific environmental guidelines provided by the festival organisers regarding fire safety, noise levels or other relevant considerations.
Costume and props:
6.1 while dressing up and wearing Viking inspired costumes is encouraged, ensure that your attire is respectful, appropriate and does not offend or demean others.
6.2 weapons or props carried as part of your costume must be foam or larp weapons only. They must not pose a threat to the safety of others.
6.3 festival staff and security
personnel have the authority to inspect and confiscate any weapons or props that
violate safety regulations or pose a risk to others.
Photography and media:
7.1 respect the privacy and consent of other attendees. Obtain permission before photographing or filming individuals.
7.2 do not use photographs
or videos taken at the festival for commercial purposes without explicit
permission from the festival organisers.
Children and families:
8.1 attendees are responsible for the supervision and behaviour of minors in their care
8.2 be mindful of the festival's historical context and cultural atmosphere when interacting with children.
8.3 ensure that children understand and adhere to the code of conduct.
Compliance and consequences:
9.1 failure to comply with the code of conduct may result in immediate removal from the festival site and/or campsite without refund.
9.2 the festival organisers reserve the right to refuse entry or eject any individual who violates the code of conduct or poses a threat to the safety or well-being of others.
9.3 serious violations may be reported to the appropriate authorities, leading to legal consequences.
